Alberto The Missing Rock was my first attempt at a full-fledged children’s book (excluding the biography on Gene Kelly I tried to make in 2020, but we don’t really need to discuss that…) and was independently published in the spring of 2022.
The story is of a seven-year-old investigator named Edith, and her search for her missing pet rock — who surely seems to have been kidnapped.
I’ve grown quite a bit in writing and doodling since this book was complete, and it’s fun to see the differences between this and current work. Alberto’s main home is in the library of my old elementary school, which in fact was the inspiration for the story itself!
